Our Story
Tours for Teachers began with a love of both education and travel, and a belief that stepping outside your everyday world can completely change the way you see teaching, learning, and yourself.
After more than 22 years as a teacher and school leader, I knew how easy it was for educators to spend all of their time looking after everyone else while putting themselves last. I also knew how powerful it was to visit another country, walk into a different classroom, and suddenly feel inspired all over again.
In 2019, I took my very first group of educators to Finland. I was nervous, excited, and honestly had no idea just how life-changing it would become, not only for me, but for the people travelling alongside me. What I saw was something really special. Teachers connecting with strangers who quickly became friends, people finding confidence to travel solo for the first time, and educators returning home feeling re-energised and inspired again.
Since then, Tours for Teachers has grown into a beautiful community of educators from all over Australia and beyond. We’ve travelled through snowy forests in Finland, explored schools in Japan and London, shared meals in Vietnam, watched sunsets on safari in Uganda, and created friendships that continue long after the tours end.
For me, these tours have never just been about ticking destinations off a list. They are about connection, growth, courage, learning, laughter, and creating experiences you remember forever.
I know travelling can feel overwhelming, especially on your own, which is why I put so much care into every detail. I want people to feel supported, welcomed, and excited from the moment they book.
One of my favourite things is watching people arrive at the hotel nervous and unsure, then leave at the end of the tour with new friendships, new ideas, and memories they will talk about for years.
Tours for Teachers is more than a business to me. It is something I genuinely love and feel incredibly grateful to share with other educators.
